If you’ve been following me on Instagram, you’d have read about my struggles with completing my friend Rogers guitar. First I screwed up on the finish and let the build sit for three years because I was so mad, then after painstakingly removing the finish with a scalpel I then proceeded to punch straight through the back of the neck into the truss rod.
I took a moment to realize what a humbling experience this all was then I grabbed my Shaper Origin and am on the way to making a replacement neck using this stunning plum pudding mahogany. it’s been almost two weeks and the neck has not moved so I’m ready to glue the fretboard! Just need to go buy more clamps…
