Very nice instruments!!
One question about the finish,
you sand to 220 and apply the oil with a grey pad, then sand over it again with 320 and apply the oil with the white pad?
and the sand again with larger grids and apply oil.
Is this correct?

Can you use the Odies Oxi Oil to darken a rosewood fingerboard? Its for a strat neck that has already been fretted
I think any oil finish will darken woods I think the question is how dark do you want the board to be? If it’s just slightly darkened then oil should do. If it’s near black then you might need to stain or ebonize.

wonderful! Beautiful work. I’m starting my own guitars with mahogany and ebony and now I cannot wait for day light to begin. I think your finishes are outstanding! I have been re-invigorated by your work!!
Steve that means the world to hear that! its why i started cataloging everything in the first place. Its to give back to all the teachers that taught me. I learned by watching pictures of build stories and stuff like that. no formal lessons so it always means the world to me to hear when someones happy with what im doing!

That is beautiful work! Great photography as well. I am just starting out building guitars, strictly as a hobby. I am planning on using Odie’s oil as a finish.
