Neck Carving pt.2

I was too tired to sand off the body so I finished up the back of the neck. I used odie’s oil and some steel wool after sanding to 220. It’s smooth as butter.

    1. its also known as Monterillo, its super dense and has a tap tone like ebony. I try to find as close to quartersawn blanks as i can from the lumber yard. its stiffer that way and less prone to move but the downside is the grain tears out really really easily unless you have super super sharp tools. It’ll even tear out with low quality sandpaper. So for this one i had to buy Diabolo sheets for my detail sander lol
