So here’s what I’m doing. Since the redwood is so soft I figured I’d make it a little stronger. I’m using zpoxy to fill pores and to act as a sealer. It cures super hard. Then I put three coats of shellac on it so the wipe on poly can adhere. So far there are two coats of poly on now.
