Damn this thing sounds great. The build has character and because it’s got so many unusual components it’s called the Codge. Codger usually means an “odd fellow” and just so happens to be the name that I knew Roger as in Med school before he graduated. It’ll be nice to get a guitar in his hands after all these years, even if it’s an experimental one.
Of special note- these pickups are so musical. They sound like a hybrid of some of my favorite qualities of a single coil or p90 and the beef and noise cancelling abilities of a humbucker. With the free way switch I’m able to tap into more sounds in a much cleaner footprint. The right side has your standard three way switch config, while the left three options have various blends of single coil and humbucker sounds. It essentially turns your guitar into a les Paul, a strat and a tele. Super versatile. Really hope Roger digs this one as much as I do.
