I find it’s difficult for me to complete a build if I am not motivated. This was especially true with a few builds on the back burner. My Claro walnut build and Rogers build were victims of this inertia. Now it’s time to clear the backlog.

One more note, the side of the insert that has the slot goes down into the wood. It isn’t meant to be turned with a screw driver. Not sure how many of these I ruined like this.
Great work. You inspired me to try Odie’s Oil. I’m going to give it a go on my current build, which is almost ready for a finish.
I’m not sure how well that tool works for inserting brass inserts, I’ve had bad luck with these until I tried this:

Just take a bolt that fits the insert, screw it into the insert, then put a nut flush against the insert, and a second nut to lock the first. This works perfectly every time. You can also remove a brass insert easily this way. Just screw in the bolt, tighten the nut against it and lock with a second nut. Works every time.
