I had a wonderful chat with the owner and maker of Odie’s oil after I’d posted the last update. He was a super knowledgeable guy who had some great pointers on how to use his product best. He suggested I sand higher to get a higher sheen and to also try his wood butter and wax. He’s generously sending me two samples to try on this build on Monday. We spent some time chatting and after I’d understood how to use this product best I buffed the first coat.

It looks beautiful. There are some areas in the cutaways where I’ll have to sand more diligently but the face and back and sides looks stunning.
