Joel suggested I route out a hair more using my template. I did that and carefully chiseled the sides a bit to fit the stupid fat dimarzios. Now it looks nice.

I added another coat of oil on both after work. For some reason the burl maple kept drinking the oil up again.

Anyways after the coats I’ve ground some fresh coffee for some cold brew preparation and it’s off to bed.
