The roasted maple build is nearly caught up to its brother. This weekend I’ll drill the bridge holes and align the tuners. I filled the burl bridge holes so I could move it over 2mm. I’ll re do that then map out where the pickups go. If I can work it out with a large sheet I might be able to route on the balcony. The heat outside is killing my motivation.
The first picture is me cutting the occurs from Rogers maple top to send to Aaron Brown, luthier of BlackWater Guitar Co. He will be making me a custom set of medium output pickups using those pieces of maple. Neck will be a p90 bridge will be a humbucker. I’m so excited. The shape is sleek and it’ll be a super unique touch to a special build.
