The part I was most concerned about what that little dip into the volute it’s what makes this whole thing worth it. I sprayed some water on it right before I put the dog poop bag on it to serve as a curve clamping tool. I looked at it and so far it looks pretty great. I intentionally left glue around the sides of the peg head just so when I cut the veneer it won’t split where I don’t want it to.
