I’m carving the neck down to profile within 1-2 mm. The final few mm will be removed by final sanding. Micro plane rasps make this a joy.

I sanded the body with 1500 just to see how much it’d take of since I wanted to slow down. I like the gloss in getting an don’t want to make it too thick a finish. Tomorrow will be the last couple coats before I let it cure while I’m away. Hopefully ill be able to get the neck carved and ready for finishing tomorrow as well.
