So I read up on pore filling from a very educational site by Kathy Matsushita. She makes some incredible instruments, seems like mostly ukelele’s. Her entire process is documented in great detail and its where I first heard of pore filling by using Pacers Z Poxy.
She describes at the end of the process how she thins the epoxy mixture 50/50 with denatured alcohol. I read somewhere else as well (I think LMII) that his will act as a glaze coat and settle after the alcohol evaporates.
It was very easy to just wipe on and leave it be. It’s now hanging for tomorrow when ill shoot it with several coats of spray shellac. Then it’s a little dry time then the tedious application process of the wipe on poly.
