Shaped the final laminates for the headstock but rather than carving the neck I decided to final sand the body and apply the first coat of oil.
This oil is great. Really easy to apply and easy to get a nice high gloss or sheen depending on what you prefer. I opted to not fill the pores on the back because I like an open pore mahogany finish. The maple top will get a lot more coats. I have yet to decide if I’m going to go for a super high gloss or a nice non reflective gloss.
