This Design will allow for a straighter pull-though of the strings, which in my mind will just look better in addition to reduced splay from the nut. I liked the original design a lot but arranging the tuning machines in a reasonable layout was next to impossible. I had to do a last minute shave of the headstock in prototype 1 in order to make sure there was minimal splay and a pleasing layout. The design looks safe and very un-original but as long as it  isn’t and eyesore i’ll be alright with it.
